Woo hoo! Pixar has just released the Cars 2 trailer along with new pictures from the movie! I always have high expectations of Pixar movies, and they always deliver. My dirty little secret is that I wasn’t a huge fan of the first Cars movie. I’m hoping they do a better job on the second installment, because I think Monsters Inc. definitely deserves a sequel more than Cars does! Here’s the synopsis of Cars 2:
“Star racecar Lightning McQueen and tow truck Mater take their friendship to exciting new places in “Cars 2” when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix, racing for the title of the world’s fastest car. But the road to the race detours when Mater gets caught up in international espionage. He finds himself torn between assisting Lightning McQueen and towing the line in a top-secret mission. Mater’s journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. The fast-paced fun includes a colorful new all-car cast, complete with menacing villains and international racing competitors.”
Voice talent appearing in the movie include Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Cheech Marin and Pixar mainstay Bonnie Hunt.
